UFT: A Mid-Year School Cut Takes Us Back to ’70s

United Federation of Teachers President Michael Mulgrew last week predicted city schools could return to the dark days of the mid-1970s fiscal crisis if Governor Paterson’s proposed mid-year budget cuts take another $223 million out of the classroom.
