Much as City Comptroller Bill Thompson wanted viewers of last week’s debate with Mayor Bloomberg to believe the incumbent deserved a grade of Dminus for his stewardship combined with his decision to amend the Term Limits Law without voter consent, even the Mayor’s most-outspoken critic among Mr. Thompson’s labor supporters wasn’t sold.
