Labor Silent on TWU Pact
     To the Editor: As a member in good standing of Transport Workers Union Local 100, I must say that I am surprised and shocked at the absolute lack of public response concerning the MTA’s attempt to have a court overturn the recent arbitrator’s award of our contract.

Bring Back Labor Day
     To the Editor: Over the years, there has been great concern that the power and influence of labor has been decreasing. There are many important battles that the unions need to fight. One of the basic ones might be to have the Labor Day Parade actually occur on Labor Day rather than the Saturday after Labor Day. Maybe then labor will start getting some respect.
