The Conflicts of Interest Board found that a Sanitation Worker, while on city time, sold unauthorized Sanitation Department merchandise for personal profit from his personal vehicle outside a DSNY garage.

Mr. Guerrero, a 10-year veteran, May 5 acknowledged his misconduct, which occurred in July 2008, and accepted the fine for the sale of unauthorized merchandise on work time.

The board reminds public servants that they are prohibited from using city time or resources for any non-city purpose, particularly any outside business or financial activities.
