To The Editor: Blogger Nicole Gelinas, writing in the New York Post on April 28, 2009, calls public-sector pensions a rip-off because in some cases they outperform returns that private-sector workers typically get on their investments.

To The Editor: I am responding to the For The Record item April 17 in which former Civil Service Technical Guild President Lou Albano claimed that the $30,000 given to former union Secretary Richard Delio to help pay his hospital bill represented donated funds from concerned members.
