Mr. Josephson complains that the Take Back Our Union movement has not done enough in support of TWU Local 100 members facing layoffs and service cuts. He could not be more wrong. More ... What everyone should be talking about is the blatant hypocrisy of why Local 100 is in arbitration. It was mentioned in the article that Basil Paterson, the Governor's father, is the chief labor counsel for the TWU Local 100. More ... I was pleasantly surprised to hear a presentation by a respected scientist on some studies that are being done on occupational diseases among transit retirees. More ... To The Editor: On March 19 lawyers with the Center for Constitutional Rights, acting on behalf of the FDNY Vulcan Society, moved for summary judgment in the Justice Department lawsuit against the city's hiring practices. I met him at citywide bargaining; he was the local president for Emergency Medical Service personnel; I was there for the Communications Workers of America, but not for my local (Board of Elections Local 1183).
