Cops Were Mob Parasites

To The Editor:

It's about time that the "Mafia Cops," Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa, began serving their life terms in prison with no realistic chance for parole. They sold their police shields to one of the worst mob killers in history, "Gaspipe" Casso. Even the horrific crimes of Bernie Madoff pale by comparison to the evil done by these two mob parasites.

The horrible truth is that no large criminal enterprise in the world could thrive and prosper without the assistance and support of criminal scum with badges like Eppolito and Caracappa. From Al Capone to Carlo Gambino to Boston's "Whitey" Bulger to John Gotti and the rest, none of them could have become wealthy and powerful gangsters without some assistance from corrupt politicians, prosecutors, law-enforcement officials, Federal agents and dirty cops like Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa.

At least two of the worst are off the street forever. Bravo!
