      To The Editor: The bankers made billions while selling sub-prime mortgages. Now that the economy has crashed, it isn't the bankers who are paying; it is the workers and the poor who are paying with our tax money to bail out the bankers who caused the crash.

Forget Givebacks, Mayor
      To The Editor: In response to the Feb. 20 article on how Mayor Bloomberg warns unions to pay for health care or layoffs will come, I urge all unions and city workers not to even consider any givebacks whatsoever. We all understand and feel the hard economic times that this recession has caused.

      To The Editor: It's amazing to me that except for a single New York Post article titled ''Buy- Bye Offers Eyed for City Workers" there has been no official mention of such a plan by unions, city/state officials or any other official representatives.

Shamelessly Shifting Blame
      To The Editor: It's not my fault! This is the resounding cry from many these days. Spending 30-plus years as a firefighter I have seen many things. In last week's issue of The Chief I saw two stories that upset me as a firefighter and as a man.
