MCU Scholarships Worth $60G Given To 52 Recipients
The Municipal Credit Union has awarded 52 college scholarships — two for $5,000 apiece and the remainder for $1,000 — to new college students to help cover their costs this semester.

The winners, all of whom are related to MCU members or are themselves members, were chosen based on academic performance, extracurricular and community activities, and an essay outlining their goals.

Justine R. Tasolides won the $5,000 Charles Faulding Memorial Scholarship, and Angela Lelo was the recipient of the Julian I. Garfield Memorial Scholarship in the same amount. Those awards are named for two late MCU board members.
