      Filing is open for an exam leading to Traffic Enforcement Agent jobs in the Police Department, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services announced. The starting salary is $27,013. The multiple-choice test is scheduled for Dec. 13. Applications must be submitted by Sept. 23.

      The Department of Citywide Administrative Services has established a 21,161- name list for Firefighter based on Exam 6019, which was held in January 2007. Some list numbers are missing because of late adjustments due to changes in status.

      The latest Firefighter list published in this newspaper contained several codes next to a person's eligible number. "They indicate credits the individuals have received, based on their status," said Mark Daly, a spokesman for the Department of Citywide Administrative Services.
