Name 4 Inspectors:
71 Dets. Among Promotees

Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly named four Inspectors and five Deputy Inspectors among 156 uniformed upgrades - including 71 Detectives - in a ceremony held at 1 Police Plaza April 30.

Mr. Kelly also promoted 39 civilian employees to various titles.

The new Inspectors are: William Aubry, Vito Colamussi, Dwayne Montgomery and Douglas G. Rolston.

25-Year Vet

Mr. Aubry joined the department in 1989, where he served on patrol in the 9th Precinct. He is currently the Commanding Officer of the 67th Precinct.

Mr. Colamussi joined the department in 1983, where he served on patrol in the Midtown North Precinct. He is currently the Commanding Officer of the Internal Affairs Bureau's Investigative Review Unit.

Mr. Montgomery, a 29-year veteran, is currently the Commanding Officer of the 28th Precinct, where he began his career.

Inspector Rolston, who joined the department in 1984, working out of Brooklyn's 69th Precinct, is currently the commanding officer of Transit Borough Bronx.

Christopher P. Broderick, Stephen Capasso, Timothy Hogan, Amin G. Kossiem and Richard F. Napolitano were promoted to Deputy Inspector;

The following 10 officers were promoted to Captain: Zaheer A. Azeez, John P. Breslin Jr., Patrick Cortright, Michael Coyle, Alejandro R. Finardo, Michael J. Giovanelli, Nilda Hofmann, Cedric D. Raymond, James B. Ryan, and Carlos Valdez Jr.

There were six promotions to Lieutenant Commander Detective Squad: Jerome A. Arico, Ralph R. Concepcion, John E. Gogarty, Anthony Mottola, Philip A. Spinella and Christopher Wendler.

Six others were promoted to Lieutenant Special Assignment: Thomas W. Burke, John T. Clinton, Eric Deane, Anthony Falcone, Michael C. McCann and John H. Wolf.

20 New Lieutenants

Twenty Sergeants were promoted to Lieutenant: Michael P. Baker, Sidney M. Centeno, Larry D. Chambers, Shawn M. Charlson, Matthew T. Chinea, Craig M. Contrera, Jeanmarie Finnerty, Dominick P. Fonti, Peter M. Fortune, Paul F. Franzese; and

Francis A. Giordano, Norman L. Grandstaff, Brian C. Hennessy, Kelly A. Kilfeather, Leon W. Mabra, Steven P. Malloy, Jeffrey M. Peterson, Fausto B. Pichardo, Michael J. Shugrue, and Joseph A. Smith.

The following eight men were promoted to Sergeant Supervisor Detective Squad: John J. Brill, Anthony D. Difede, Clint B. Franklin, Joseph Labella, Wilbert Morales, Vincent P. Paganucci, Patrick Rodrigo and Jonathan L. Schwartz.

There were 26 promotions to Sergeant Special Assignment: Roy R. Bocina, Nelson Checo, Peter Clancy, Daniel J. Condon, Dennis T. Coughlan, Xavier O. Crandell, Frank J. Ferrara, Todd Fecht, Christopher Gehrig, Thomas A. Glaudino, Lori B. Hernandez, Robert A. Holt, Thomas A. Horvath; and

Eugene O. Javaruski, Anthony S. Lisi, Patrick J. McCooey, Andrew J. McDonagh, Michael J. McGuinness, William H. Mackay, Eugene F. Moynihan, Shavette Parker-Thompson, John G. O'Hara, Joseph L. Oliver, Patrick A. Pisani, Raymond E. Smith, Douglas F. Walden.

Detective Upgrades

The 10 new Detectives First Grade are: Samuel Calhoun, Nicholas L. Ciuffi, David H. Cumming, Michael Failla, James J. Klobus, Robert F. Nardi, Brett W. Plapinger, Matthew J. Prial, Juan D. Romero, Andrew W. Thorne.

The 38 new Detectives Second Grade are: Alex J. Argiro, James S. Barnes, Michael R. Beatty, Tyrone C. Butler, Duncan T. Carmichael, Edwin Cesario, Roy E. Chopping, Leonard Ciurcina, Edward W. Civilian Promotions

The four new Administrative Traffic Enforcement Agents are: Brenda L. Baker, Eugene Hourican, Peter Murillo and Marilyn B. Wells.

The six new Associate Traffic Enforcement Agent-Level 1s are: Beth A. Davenport, Elaine Feurtado, Valerie Foreman, Michael D. Jiles, John P. Mathew and Catherine Ogburn.

The five new Principal Administrative Associate-Level 1s are: Jacqueline Curry, Valerie Y. DeOliveira, Robin M. Goodman, Marisa D. Johnson and Renee A. Jones.

There are seven new Senior Police Administrative Aides: Vivian Anderson, Lillian O. Bermudez, Ellen Carter, Dorothy R. Carter-Starks, Wilfa G. Diniz, Albert L. Jernigan, and Joan A. Rice.
