"This arrest demonstrates DOI's continued commitment to
investigate sick and medical leave fraud by city employees," DOI Commissioner
Rose Gill Hearn said in a statement. "Last year, DOI made 13 arrests relating to
this type of corruption. Employees who choose to try and scam the system in this
way should know that they face arrest and other serious consequences."
