Dues Boycott Asinine

To the Editor:

I am not a Roger Toussaint apologist, nor am I attached to any "wing" of Local 100. I am an independent member of said union. It is ludicrous and asinine when persons such as Gerard Evans (Jan. 11 letter) decide to encourage others not to their union dues.

This is our union. Local 100 does not belong to Toussaint or any other person. Long after Roger is gone, the union will be there, probably weakened by those who choose not to pay their dues.

Remember, what goes around comes around. When Gerard Evans and others of such regressive thinking become elected, and members disagree with their tenure, then the vicious cycle may continue.
