Maintainer Jobs with
Bridge and Tunnels Open Filing Jan. 22 Level 1 Maintainers earn a salary of $37,817 in their first year with benefits, pension, paid vacation and holidays. Applicants must be 21 years old. They must have two years of full-time satisfactory work experience in mechanical or electrical repair, maintenance or installation. Experience Needed They must also, an MTA statement said, have "one year of full-time satisfactory experience, in addition to graduation from a trade or technical school, or vocational high school, with a major course of study totaling 600 hours in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, automotive, welding, carpentry, machinist work, or a closely-related field, approved by a state's Department of Education or comparable governmental agency." In addition to welding, cleaning facilities and painting and installing signs, Maintainers are responsible for the general upkeep of buildings, bridges and tunnels.
