While the two 4-percent annual increases are welcome, they fall below the rate of inflation, so members are actually seeing a reduction in purchasing power. More ... To the Editor: The new District Council 37 contract is a good one. There will be quibbles about the additional .1 per cent at the end of the contract, but overall, considering the current economic climate, it's a good contract.
