Charge EMT Stalked Para, Assaulted Boss An Emergency Medical Technician has been arrested on charges of assaulting a supervisor and stalking a Paramedic, the Department of Investigation announced last week. EMT Curtis Jackson was charged Oct. 29 with breaking the front window of a Paramedic in July and leaving profane voice messages on the Paramedic's cell phone in August. On Oct. 23, Mr. Jackson allegedly threatened the Paramedic in the parking lot at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. A supervisor intervened and struggled with Mr. Jackson, suffering a sprained thumb, according to the DOI. If convicted of assault he could receive a year in prison. He was charged with misdemeanor harassment and stalking. DOI Commissioner Rose Gill Hearn said in a statement, "The behavior described in these charges is not only unacceptable for an individual entrusted with saving lives but it is criminal." |
