      To the Editor: I cannot respect Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg's epiphany of another term in office. Although the legislative process by which the Mayor seeks eligibility to run again is quite legal, it is also quite lousy.

      To the Editor: If John McCain has a single specific and practical solution to any problem facing the American people, he didn't mention it in the second debate in Nashville. He sounded like Knute Rockne or Vince Lombardi without a team — and without a playbook. The "game" is over for McCain and the Republicans.

      To the Editor: I am a 20-year veteran and I am proud of the outstanding job our Teamsters Local 237 President Gregory Floyd is doing. President Floyd and his team — otherwise known as his extended family — work effortlessly for the members. What other union can you call at two o'clock in the morning and have someone come to your assistance?
