Two Inspectors Among 219 NYPD Promotees; 119 Sgts, 64 Detectives Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly Sept. 29 promoted 119 Sergeants and 64 Detectives, among a host of uniformed and civilian promotions that included two new Inspectors.
Mr. Johnsen is currently the commanding officer of the 60th Precinct. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Dowling College, and he is a 2005 graduate of the Police Management Institute at Columbia University. He is a 1994 recipient of an NYPD Medal of Valor. IAB Commander Advances Thomas J. Scollan, the commanding officer of Internal Affairs Bureau's Field Services Unit, was also promoted to Inspector. He joined the Police Department in July 1989, and began his patrol career in the 44th Precinct. Mr. Scollan has served in four different precincts and two narcotics districts, Manhattan North and South.
Three Captains were promoted to Deputy Inspector: Charlane O. Brown, Raymond Caroli and William J. McSorley. Twelve Lieutenants were promoted to Captain: Craig S. Adelman, John Benoit, Sylvester Y. Ge, Howard L. Gottesman, William Gutierrez, Roy A. Kaplan, Vanessa J. Kight, Christopher J. McCormack, Mark C. Molinari, Olufunmilo F. Obe, Ian C. Syversen, and Billy J. Yun. The Lieutenant Special Assignment promotees are Christopher Beyers and Barry S. Duignan. The Sergeant Supervisor Detective promotees are Joseph P. Addolorato, John J. Coughlin, Roseann Cruz, Tobia M. Hunter-Clark, Raymond M. Leshinger, Michael E. McFarlane, Daniel C. Mulcahy and Henry Torres. Seven officers were promoted to Sergeant Special Assignment: Donald L. Abrams, Michael Cruz, Darrell Hayes, Gary T. Lombardo, Nimrod O. Ollivierre, Timothy J. Olsen and David Thomas. Detective Upgrades The Detective First Grade promotees are Brian W. Cullinane, Cameron A. Mitchell, George A. Mouchette, James M. Nash, Frankie Rosado, Ronald C. Rybicki and James R. Woods. The Detective Second Grade promotees are: Andy Aguayo, Joseph P. Simkowitz were promoted to Computer Associate (Software) Level II. Allaishaw Hill was promoted to Criminalist Level IV. Lillian O. Becker and Eileen N. Pisano-Vargas advanced to Principal Administrative Associate Level II. Colleen M. Murphy was promoted to Principal Police Communications Technician Level II. Mary E. Williams was promoted to Police Communications Technician Level I. Leticia Howard, Munetta S. Johnson, Carol J. Martin-Hilaire, Deardra Morris, Sanford O. Nelson and Charlene D.
