Hourly Wage $17.50 To Start; Hundreds Of Hirings Expected; Architect, Probation Officer Posts Also Offered Until Sept. 23
      New York City Transit is holding an exam for Conductor, a job that typically has several hundred vacancies each year, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services announced. The starting salary is $17.50 per hour, rising to $25 per hour after three years on the job. Applications are due by Sept. 23. The exam is on Dec. 6. The filing fee is $40.

Westchester Cop Test Prep Course Offered By County College

      Westchester Community College is offering a comprehensive Police Officer exam prep course next month in anticipation of the Westchester police exam on Nov. 15. WCC faculty will teach the nine-hour course, spread over three sessions. The course, geared towards taking the civil service exam, is good for the police tests given by cities within the county as well.
