The American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees did not find anyone guilty of interfering with Chapter 37 of Local 375 elections, including President Claude Fort. More ... To the Editor: Behrouz Fathi (July 11 issue) claims that every elected president of Chapter 2 of Civil Service Technical Guild Local 375 was given full-time release to perform union work since 1994. That statement is patently false. More ... To the Editor: I am writing in reference to the letter of Mel Levy published in the June 27 issue of The Chief about the Local 375-Chapter 2 office operations. Mr. Levy mentioned that "I am told that the chapter office is mostly closed, except for religious services. This is not the way a union office should operate." I am deeply shocked and surprised by this statement. More ... To the Editor: As a member of Transport Workers Union Local 100, for the past few years I have sat by and watched this noble union fall into despair. We have senior so-called leaders fight amongst themselves at the expense of the members and the future of this union, all in the name of their own egos and power hunger. More ... I sincerely believe that the articles regarding Local 372 have been strictly one-sided and everyone should know that what is stated to them is not necessarily the truth. More ...
