2 Candidates Backed By Palladino Triumph In DEA Elections 2 Candidates Backed By Palladino Triumph In DEA Elections Ken Sparks defeated incumbent Secretary Richard T. Tirelli, who had a bitter falling-out with Mr. Palladino, by a vote of 1,591 to 979. Mr. Sparks, who is currently the assistant to the president, will assume office July 1. Martinez Re-Elected With 1,740 votes, Sergeant-at-Arms Cecil Martinez easily won a second term over challenger Scott Munro, who received 776. Along with Mr. Palladino, who took office in 2004, the returning board members are: Victor R. Cipullo, vice-president; Paul Di Giacomo, treasurer; Ken Cardona, borough director, Manhattan/Bronx headquarters; George Fahrbach, borough director for Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island and Brian Hunt, chairman of the Board of Trustees. |
