Cop's Abuse of Authority
      To the Editor: I am outraged by the news about an NYPD off-duty cop who allegedly physically assaulted and handcuffed a Traffic Enforcement Agent after being ticketed for a parking violation. If this allegation is true, then this cop should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

An Early-Out Letdown
      To the Editor: So close, but yet so far. I could taste the reopening of Chapter 96 (55/25). I really thought it would happen at last. We were almost there. I even secured the vote of my State Assemblyman. But it all came crashing down due to a low cost estimate by a union consultant.
