      To the Editor: I have read Brandon Ward's lengthy article in last week's issue in which he discusses recruitment fliers inter alia. His main contention is that recruitment fliers in 2008 are often a farce. I am sure he is right.

      To the Editor: I would like to reply to Michael Gorman's letter from the March 7 issue, "Give 'em Hell, 'Bama." Gorman once again displays an arrogance and ignorance that makes me wonder how he can be a member of the bar. Okay, Mike, you like Senator Obama for President.

Union Under Attack
      To the Editor: I wish to alert readers of The Chief to a vicious attack on the Federation of Puerto Rican Teachers (FMPR), a public-service workers union. All public-worker unions need to respond and show solidarity with this union that is under attack by the Puerto Rican government. They decertified the union and forced them to strike.
