      To the Editor: Although I am a member of District Council 37, Local 371, I am really not in favor of a relaxed residency rule. I firmly believe that if Lillian Roberts wants us to be able to move to these areas, she needs to negotiate a better pay increase for us.

      To the Editor: The Teachers' union argues that it is not liable under the Americans With Disabilities Act for the discriminatory practices of the employer. The United Federation of Teachers argues that there is no evidence that it has animosity toward people with disabilities.

      To the Editor: In the past few days Hillary Clinton has praised John McCain as being the only candidate besides herself with true presidential stature and experience in the race. She apparently dislikes or fears Barack Obama so much that she would rather see McCain as president than her own party's choice - if it's not her.
