More ... To the Editor: As a member of Local 372 of District Court 37, I recently attended a hearing in Manhattan on Emblem Health's application to convert a for-profit entity. (Emblem is the successor to the merger of HIP and GHL, the two companies that provide medical insurance to 93 percent of NYC workers. More ... To the Editor: I just wonder why Chief Delbert Coward (Feb. 8 letter), pretty much wasted over 400 words in not responding to Chief Paul Mannix's well-thought-out objections to the most recent Firefighter entrance exam? To the Editor: In reference to Chief Paul Mannix's (Jan. 25) letter titled "Sound the Alarm on Fire Test," if these facts are true, which I believe they are, then there should be an investigation, pronto. This is where the Fire Department Inspector General or Bureau of Investigations and Trials should get involved. More ...
