The NYPD Marine Corps Association marked the 232nd birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps Nov. 2 by honoring officers - including some World War II veterans and those who have served in Iraq - who wore the uniforms of both services. Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly spent time with the Wounded Warrior Regiment and congratulated Police Officer Angel Cruz, a Marine veteran who in March was stabbed in the head while patrolling a Brooklyn subway station.
