22 New Captains, 46 Lieutenants in Fire Promotions

The Fire Department promoted 78 members Nov. 2, including 22 Lieutenants to the rank of Captain and 46 Firefighters to Lieutenant.

"Starting out on the job, you kept your eyes and ears open and learned from the best teacher of all - experience," Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta told the promotees during the ceremony. "Everything you learned, every fire you fought, all the promise you showed over the years has brought you to this moment - savor it, enjoy it, be proud."

The ceremony took place at Klitgord Auditorium at New York Technical College in downtown Brooklyn.

New Captains

The new Captains are Christopher M. Peteley, Liam J. Coleman, Derek P. Bennett, Christopher K. Williamson, James J. Martinetion, Nicholas Borrillo, James W. Kiesling, James T. Corcoran, James M. Grosso, John M. Butcher, Sean M. Michael, Michael Maiz, Joseph Brosi Jr., Michael J. Fahy, Matthew L. Egan, Michael J. Jackson, Michael L. Corabi, Richard H. Duffy, Robert M. Forde, Richard A. Gander Jr., Kevin T. Jackson and John D. Feehan.

Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant were James M. Butler, Michael B. Durkin, Kevin P. Clifford, Daniel J. McEnroe, David P. Rath, Steve Moore, Philip J. Hirt, Brian A. McConville, Peter C. Campbell, Thomas Costa, Thomas J. Gayer, Robert F. Gibson, John Mastrogianni, Jose M. Morales Jr., Terence F. Brody, Daniel J. Parker, Brian P. Gill, Joseph M. Pesce, David Rodriguez, Gregory J. Supervising Marshals

The new Supervising Fire Marshals are Peter J. Connolly, Andrew F. Di Fusco, John J. Holohan, Joseph A. Ricca, John J. McCarthy, Kevin E. O'Donnell, Richard J. Gleason and Douglas Mercereau.

Daniel Rowland was promoted to Provisional Wiper in the Marine Unit.

Christopher J. Barrett advanced to Provisional Marine Engineer and Thomas P. Clarke advanced to Chief Marine Engineer.A.P.
