100-Plus Upgrades

Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly named a new Assistant Chief and two Inspectors among more than 100 uniformed upgrades - including 42 Sergeants, 41 Lieutenants, and 24 Detectives - and multiple civilian promotions - in a morning ceremony held at 1 Police Plaza Sept. 28.

Assistant Chief George Anderson began his career in 1982 with the former New York City Housing Police Department on patrol assigned to Police Service Area 5. He is currently serving as the commanding officer of the Police Academy.

Alan B. Cooper and Edward J. Mullen were promoted to Inspector.

New Deputies

Karin E. Azadian, Timothy J. Bugge, Patrick W. McAndrews and Lori Pollock were promoted to Deputy Inspector.

The new Lieutenant Commander Detective Squad officers are: Eugene C. Borelli, Dominick J. Cardinale, Ruben Castro, and John J. Nolan.

The Sergeant Supervisor Detectives are: Claudia P. Bartolomei, George J. Cervone, Matthew J. Chapman, David R. Cheesewright, Terence A. Crowley, Richard J. D'Aoust, Charles A. Famulari, Peter R. Holness, Michael R. Mensch, and Gerard N. Pappas.

The First-Grade Detectives are: Sylvia Bone, Gregory J. DeFranco, Robert G. Jennings, and Melissa L. McCoy.

The Second-Grade Detectives are: Darryl C. Alleyne, Artis L. Beaty, Matthew R. Capuano, Steven F. Cohan, Kendra A. Damante, Robert F. Geary, Lesle R. Glover, Richard A. Johnson, Mark D.
