MCU to Provide $60G in College Aid to Students

The Municipal Credit Union has awarded $60,000 in college scholarships to 52 New York-area high school graduates who are either members or the relatives of members.

Cara E. Grealy was awarded the $5,000 Charles Faulding Memorial Scholarship, and Sabine Louis received the Julian I. Garfield Memorial Scholarship for the same amount. The other 50 recipients will each get $1,000 for the coming school year. The winners were judged on academic performance, extracurricular and community activities, and an essay about their personal goals, as well as references.
