Katherine Brown June 5 accepted a $5,000 award from United Federation of Teachers Welfare Fund Executive Director Arthur Pepper (left) and UFT Director Jeffrey A. Huart. She was one of 170 public high school seniors and six college graduates who were granted $5,000 four-year scholarships by the UFT.
