Transit Worker: Pension Seminar

A pension seminar aimed at transit workers will be held May 16 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Shell Lanes bowling alley in Brooklyn, across McDonald Ave. from the Coney Island Overhaul Shop.

Conducted by Norman Rosenfeld, a retired Deputy Director of the New York City Employees' Retirement System who later served as a pension consultant for Transport Workers' Union Local 100, it will cover topics ranging from final average salary to accident disability pensions. Ordinary death benefits, "buyback" time for military service and time worked in city agencies, tier reinstatement, and a refund of 25/55 contributions to those who worked less than 25 years will also be discussed.

Admission is $20, but accompanying spouses will be allowed in for free. For further information, call (718) 753-1979.
