This 1912 photo of the front elevation of the Municipal Building is one of thousands taken by city employee Eugene de Salignac between 1906 and 1934 as the official photographer for the Department of Bridges. A book of his work, New York Rises, was released last week, and his work will be on display at the Museum of New York beginning May 4.
