This 1912 photo of the front elevation of the Municipal Building is one of thousands taken by city employee Eugene de Salignac between 1906 and 1934 as the official photographer for the Department of Bridges. A book of his work, New York Rises, will be released at a signing by editor and senior photographer Michael Lorenzini, who recovered Mr. de Salignac's work, on April 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at CityStore in the Municipal Building at One Centre Street.
