RUDY'S DEMONS

Rudy's Demons

To the Editor:

Rudolph W. Giuliani's international campaign jaunt illustrates his dictatorial tendencies. He doesn't just want to be President of the United States, he wants to be "King of the World." His excessive ambitions make him a dangerous man, and those who deny it are either ignorant ornaive.

For "Rudy the Great," the threat of terrorism is just a shortcut to unlimited power - power that would be denied him under the Constitution but for that lucky (for him) national emergency - the need to defend ourselves from Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. He relishes such power.

Rudy is the very opposite of a true hero and leader, Dwight D. Eisenhower, who knew the horrors of war up close, and enjoyed a round of golf much more than receiving personal medals and accolades.

Rudy is a talented and almost-brilliant man, but much like Richard M. Nixon, he has demons that make him a serious threat once he achieves real power. Intelligent people should do everything in their power to prevent this excessively ambitious and ruthless man from becoming president.
