THE CHIEF-LEADER welcomes letters from its readers for publication. TWU BYLAWS CLEAR
To the Editor:
TWU Bylaws Clear To the
Editor: Suffice it to say, there will never be a general membership meeting allowed by this current administration. The TWU Local 100 bylaws also state that "thirty per cent (30%) or more of the members of any Section or Division sign and file with the Recording Secretary of the Local a petition requesting the recall of any or all of the officers of such Section or Division" should any want a recall. That "for any officer to be recalled, his recall must be voted by more than fifty per cent (50%) of the members in his Division or Section. Should any officer of a Section or Division be recalled, the vacancy shall be filled at a date and place set by the Executive Board." It comes back to the Toussaint-controlled executive board. There are some who believe that the executive board of TWU Local 100 is controlled by a dictator. If only the board can muster courage to prove otherwise. Without that, the coup de grâce of this local will be at the hand of ignorance wielded from within.
