NEW PAY RATES FOR SERGEANTS

The following charts indicate how salaries would increase under the tentative Sergeants Benevolent Association contract for those who reached the rank beginning April 1, 2006 - when a reduced salary scale took effect - and those who held it prior to that day. The pay hikes will be buttressed by increases in longevity differentials of $460 effective July 1, 2008 and either $600 or $1,600 (depending on years of service) on Sept. 1, 2010.
