THE CHIEF-LEADER welcomes letters from its readers for publication. GONE, NOT FORGOTTEN
To the Editor:
Gone, Not Forgotten To the
Editor: With respect to all civil service employees who serve our great city, it seems like transit workers are the least respected. Unlike NYPD and FDNY, we make the headlines only if someone is caught doing something wrong, often the butt of a joke on a headline. Or we are deemed criminals for going on strike while the MTA negotiates in bad faith. We are transit workers, and all we ask for is a little respect. We move New York. We ask New York to remember Danny Boggs, a young man in his early 40s. His story is crammed deep into a New York daily newspaper, not on the front page. He is remembered as a hard worker, and respected by his peers. A loving husband and father of 3 children is lost, but not forgotten. Rest in peace, Danny.
