      The recent report of the agreement by the Governor, the Speaker of the Assembly and the insurance industry to reduce the period of time an injured worker can be "permanently partially disabled" is a shameful episode of the privileged casting the poor further into poverty.

REBUTTING '237' SPIN
To the Editor:
      Last week a letter from Diane Hogan of the Health and Hospital Police was published. Unfortunately editorial letters submitted to THE CHIEF-LEADER are not held to verifiable truths and facts. Clearly Diane Hogan can't tell fantasy from reality. Reality, Ms. Hogan, is Department of Environmental Protection Police took two years to decertify, and strength does not come from numbers.

THE DIVA DICTATOR

      Rudolph W. Giuliani's accommodation demands on his celebrity speaking circuit sound a lot like something one would expect from the great opera diva, Maria Callas. I'm sure Frank Sinatra never required most of the stuff Rudy is demanding, and there are actually a few of us who think that Sinatra was more entertaining than Rudy (surprise!).
