2007 Holiday Schedule For City Workers

Below is a schedule of the paid holidays that most city workers will receive in 2007.

The schedule does not apply to prevailing-wage employees under contract with thecity. They are advised to contact the City Comptroller's Office for their paid days off.

Members of the uniformed forces do not receive Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday as paid holiday. Lincoln's Birthday, Feb. 12, is a floating holiday; employees who wish to take off Feb. 12 must notify their supervisors in writing.

New Year's Day - Monday, Jan. 1
Martin Luther King's Birthday - Monday, Jan. 15
Lincoln's Birthday - Monday, Feb. 12
Washington's Birthday - Monday, Feb. 19
Memorial Day - Monday, May 28
Independence Day - Wednesday, July 4
Labor Day - Monday, Sept. 3
Columbus Day - Monday, Oct. 8
Election Day - Tuesday, Nov. 6
Veteran's Day (Observed) - Monday, Nov. 12
Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, Nov. 22
Christmas Day - Tuesday, Dec. 25
