DCAS Accepting Applications for Urban Fellows

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services is accepting applications for the city's highly-competitive Urban Fellows Program, which places top college graduates in various city agencies.

Applications must be received by Jan. 12, 2007. The program merges full-time city employment with a comprehensive seminar series dealing with city government and contemporary urban issues.

The fellowships are available to individuals who graduated college in the spring of 2005 or 2006 or who expect to finish by the spring of 2007.

Finalists will be called to interviews in New York City in March. Only 25 fellowships are offered through a competitive selection process. The nine-month fellowships will start in September 2007 and end in May 2008.

Those selected will be paid a $25,000 stipend. The program does not provide financial aid, housing, or scholarships for study.

For more information call 311 or 212-NEW-YORK. Application forms are available at www.nyc.gov/internships.
