Revenue Agent, Officer Posts Open With IRS

The Internal Revenue Service is accepting applications for hundreds of Revenue Agent and Revenue Officer jobs in the city and upstate.

Filing for Revenue Officer positions is set to close Oct. 10. Revenue Agent applications are being accepted continuously. Starting pay varies from $25,195 to $60,049, based on position and location. A combination of experience and education will be considered when determining pay rates and candidate eligibility, according to the IRS.

Job Standards

General hiring requirements include: a college degree with at least 24 credits in accounting and six in related courses. Appointees must be U.S. citizens.

The positions are available in: Brooklyn, The Bronx, Manhattan, White Plains, West Nyack, New Windsor, Hauppauge, Albany, and Buffalo. The IRS trains new hires in tax and business law, investigation skills, and in enforcement strategies.
