CSA
President Tabbed to Run National Union By HOWARD MEGDAL Ms. Levy was elected unanimously to a three-year term. She will continue to work out of her New York office as CSA's president, and make frequent day-trips down to AFSA headquarters in Washington, D.C. At Center of Network In a July 25 phone interview, Ms. Levy said of her role, "Primarily, it's to serve as a national voice. I'll liaison with various locals, and provide services and resources for them." While she was quick to note that "my top priority is to get a contract for CSA," she has plans to create a communications network within and outside of AFSA. "There are two priorities that I have," Ms. Levy said. "One is to provide an infrastructure that gives information to our members in a timely manner. We need to build offices, and utilize technology in pursuit of that goal." She added that she planned to "establish linkages with AFL-CIO and our professional organizations. It's will be important to have a direct network with those people. That will only help to disseminate information." Ms. Levy had previously served as executive vice president of AFSA, and has been a member of the executive board since 1994.
