Ms. Dua, who had been interim CEO, came to the department in 2005 after working at the Robin Hood Foundation, where she provided oversight for that organization's $50 million library-building project in of the city's poorest schools. "I am delighted that Stephanie will bring her strong record of building partnerships and support to this new role," Schools Chancellor Joel I. Klein, who is chairman of the Fund for Public Schools, said in a statement.
