To the Editor: Thanks to Richard Steier for an excellent article on the Bell shooting (Dec. 8 column), but I think he’s a little harsh on Times columnist Bob Herbert, who breathes some life into the “Gray Lady.” Sure, Herbert makes some rather large assumptions, but in such emotionally charged cases, if journalists wait until all the facts are crystal-clear (months? years? To the Editor: Joel Frank’s recent column (Nov. 24 issue) about changes to the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation’s (HHC) 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) Plan contains inaccurate and incomplete comments and paints a misleading impression of the plan’s administration and investment products. More ... To the Editor: Brandon Ward touches on one of the central issues underlying the conflict within TWU Local 100 (“Why Toussaint’s Still Right Guy,” Dec. 8 issue.). To the Editor: Brandon Ward’s laborious article on why TWU members should re-elect Roger Toussaint is so full of inaccuracies and misconceptions, one wonders just which Local 100 and which Roger Toussaint he refers to. His admission to being an outsider in regards to the TWU is gladly correct. More ... To the Editor: Nobody can seriously think that now, almost six years into the Toussaint administration at Transport Workers’ Union Local 100, that the responsibility lies elsewhere.
