Geographic Pay Hike for SCOA Due in Nov.
Geographic Pay Hike for SCOA Due in November
By REUVEN BLAU
Supreme Court Officers' Association President John
McKillop announced last week that his members in the downstate area will have to
wait a bit longer to receive their $1,950 geographic pay increases.
JOHN McKILLOP: Slight delay on differential. The officers will likely get that hike in early November, Mr. McKillop and other court union officials said. Mr. McKillop said the previous week that officials at the state Comptroller's Office had told him his members would be receiving those raises Oct. 4.
He blamed the confusion on a miscommunication and noted that several of the other unions that the Office of Court Administration has agreed to give geographic pay increases to have only recently ratified the offer.
"Everything else in is place," he said, referring to
the 8.25-percent retroactive raises the SCOA negotiated in March. "With
the exception of the senior officer series differential, they are going to get
the bulk of their money Oct. 4."
