CSA Jumps On Spitzer's Labor Bandwagon

By HOWARD MEGDAL

The union representing the city's Principals, Assistant Principals and other administrators last week endorsed State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer in his bid for Governor.

"We are proud to support Eliot Spitzer's candidacy for Governor," Council of School Supervisors and Administrators President Jill S. Levy said in a June 27 statement. "His strong leadership skills and his passion for protecting the rights of workers make him an excellent choice to lead our state."

"I thank CSA for their generous support," Mr. Spitzer said in a statement. "I am proud to join them in their commitment to guarantee that every child in New York has access to a world class education. We must give school Principals and administrators the support they need to educate our young people." Mr. Spitzer leads Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi, his rival for the Democratic nomination, by more than 50 points in most opinion polls. He holds a similarly large advantage in surveys over the likely Republican nominee, former State Assemblyman John Faso.
