City Retirees To Get Refund

Officials at the city's Health Benefits Program last week discovered that health insurance deductions from January pension checks for approximately 11,000 municipal retirees did not reflect a rate reduction.

Refund checks to make up for the overpayment by retirees are being processed and will be mailed directly to those affected by the end of this week.

Officials said that the February pension check will reflect the correct premium deduction.
